Jon DeWitt has participated in litigation at every level of the federal judiciary and has helped clients successfully navigate federal and state investigations with billions of dollars at stake. Before joining Lehotsky Keller Cohn LLP, Jon practiced government and commercial litigation as an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Jones Day.

Jon also brings to bear more than a decade of experience in the federal government. While attending Harvard Law School, Jon interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts where he received Harvard's Dean's Scholar recognition for his work in the Major Crimes Unit. After law school, Jon clerked for Judge Raymond M. Kethledge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Before becoming a lawyer, Jon served as a U.S. Marine Corps officer for over 10 years. During that time, he deployed overseas three times, twice as an MV-22B Osprey pilot and once as a Forward Air Controller and the senior aviation advisor to the commander of a reinforced infantry battalion. Jon has worked with all branches of the U.S. military and various federal agencies including the U.S. State Department and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as well as various foreign military and civilian agencies.
