Leah Bower is a trial and appellate litigator with experience at all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts.
Ms. Bower has authored briefs for the Supreme Court of the United States and federal and state courts of appeals, and has presented oral argument in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eleventh Circuits. She has authored numerous dispositive motions in state and federal trial courts on behalf of clients across a wide range of industries. And she has successfully defended companies before the EEOC and advised on employment-related matters from hiring through severance. Ms. Bower also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on criminal justice matters.
Before joining Lehotsky Keller Cohn LLP, Ms. Bower practiced as a trial and appellate litigator at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Bower clerked for Judge Kevin Newsom of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Judge Don Willett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, where she served on the executive board of the Duke Law Journal and was elected into the Order of the Coif. She earned her undergraduate degree from Baylor University.
Before law school, Ms. Bower worked in the aerospace and defense industry, negotiating aircraft and supply contracts.
